Privacy Policy

What we collect when you get in touch, what we do with it, and what we don't do with it. Written to describe how this site actually works.

Who we are

116 Entertainment, LLC, of Morgantown, WV, trading as 116 Entertainment. We are the people who decide what happens to the information described here.

Any question about your information, and any request to see or delete it, goes to unashamed@116entertainment.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this site, we collect what the form asks for: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and the details of the event — the type, the date, the package and any add-ons you are interested in, your guest count, the venue, and whatever you write in the notes.

We also record that you ticked the box agreeing to these terms, and the time you did it. That is the complete list — nothing else is captured from the page.

If you go on to book, your customer record also holds your address details, your language preference, and whether you have opted in to text messages.

We record the venue you tell us about on your customer record, so it is there when we plan your event.

If you give us your birthday, we store the month and the day only — never the year. We use it to wish you a happy birthday, and there is no reason for us to hold a full date of birth, so we do not.

We do not take card details on this site and we do not store any. Payment happens directly with us — cash, check or card through QuickBooks.

To stop automated abuse of the enquiry form, we count how many submissions have come from a network address in the last hour. Those counts live in the server’s memory, are never written to a database, and are discarded as they age out or whenever the server restarts.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry, to plan and run your event, and to keep our own business records.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Email

We send transactional email — enquiry receipts, confirmations, details about your event — through Amazon SES.

Email you send to our business address is received into this system and read by our staff in the admin area, along with any attachments. If you would rather not have a message stored that way, call or text us instead.

If you unsubscribe, that stops marketing email. It does not stop the messages you actually need: a receipt for something you have paid for, your event date, or your cancellation terms will still reach you. Those are obligations, not promotions.

Photos and video

We take photos and video at events and publish some of them in the gallery on this site and on our social media. Your contract grants that permission unless you object in writing before your event date.

You can read the full term, and how to opt out, in our Terms & Conditions. If you object after the event, when the contract no longer requires us to honour it, we will honour it anyway.

Only our staff can upload media. Nothing you do on this site uploads a file.

The planning portal

Booked clients get access to an online planning portal for music selections, timelines, announcements and the people you want named on the night — including how to pronounce their names.

We use that information to run your event, and for nothing else.

Cookies and tracking

These public pages set no cookies at all. The only thing this site keeps in your browser is a note that you have already dismissed the intro screen, so you are not shown it twice.

Sign-in cookies exist only for our staff and client portals, and only once someone signs in.

We run no analytics and no advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and nothing following you to other sites. That is why this page has no cookie banner — there is nothing to ask you to consent to.

Who else sees it

Amazon Web Services hosts this site and stores our data and our media.

If you book a consultation call after sending an enquiry, that scheduler is Calendly, embedded on the page. It loads only after your enquiry is sent, and it is prefilled with your name and email so you do not have to type them again. Calendly handles that booking under its own privacy policy.

Where we embed a social post in our gallery, that embed comes from Facebook or YouTube and those platforms may see the request.

That is the complete list. No one else receives your information.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS only, with a strict content security policy, and it cannot be framed by another site.

This site cannot ask for your camera, your microphone or your location. Those are switched off at the server, so the request cannot even be made.

Access to your records is restricted to signed-in staff.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and event records for as long as we need them to run your event and to keep our business records. Nothing is deleted automatically.

If you want your information removed, email unashamed@116entertainment.com and we will do it, subject to any records we are obliged to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any marketing message.

You can object to promotional use of your event photos and video — see above.

Children

This site is intended for adults booking events. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a child has sent us something through this site, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top of the page tells you when it last changed.
